TEXT
Lullaby to Thine Self
by Laura Knight Cobb
Cradle thy weary head
For night’s restless mind unfolds
Hushaby thine heavy eyes
Grant mercy for doubts consoled
Faintly heard in whispers
Angels sigh a reverie
May I stir not, till I wake
Neath the shadows of mystery
Wrap thee in soothing care
Silenced mind - release all woes
Bid surrender - oh stubborn will
Cease my wandering thoughts repose
The stars keep silent vigil
As I spin moon’s silver beams
To weave tapestries of illusion
In the cosmos of thy dreams…
