Janusz Korczak Suite
SKU:
The life of Janusz Korczak is a moving story of isolation and despair, hope and triumph, and eventual self-sacrifice. This piece is in three movements – the first representing Korczak’s sad early life, his struggles to find an identity, and the struggles within his family. The second movement is meant to represent the happier, more contented times that Korczak shared with the many children he helped through his work in the orphanages and the summer camps he instituted. The third movement represents the incursion of the Nazi regime into Poland, and the imminent death of Korczak and his children.
